Woodland Design Associates, guided by a public committee appointed by the Wayne County Commissioners, conducted a study, public hearings, multiple charettes, and walkdowns to prepare the Wayne County Trail Feasibility Study Report (PA DCNR 2020). This project showcases genuine public support and potential for a paddle/bicycle/multi-use trail from Honesdale to Hawley. The trail, including spurs and the Lackawaxen River, will connect the two neighboring boroughs. This study continues to guide the systemic development of trails and accesses proposed, which include the Industrial Point and White Mills River Accesses and the Confluence Trail.
