This summer Woodland Design Associates had the opportunity to work with Eldred Township officials in Monroe County to create plans and work through a construction cost estimate to develop their Village Square in the heart of Kunkletown. Below are some renderings and recommendations provided to them for the project, as funded under the Pennsylvania Park and Recreation Society’s Technical Assistance Program.

Although this project may adapt and change over time as it is funded and constructed, we recognize the deep commitment and value residents have placed on the historic and unique stone arch bridge which exists in the space and allows pedestrians to cross over Buckwha Creek.
